I'm glad you're exploring therapy for yourself or your child. I specialize in therapy for children with behavior concerns, anxiety, depression, or challenging life transitions. I provide individual play therapy for children, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy for adults.
I have been honored to work with children and their families for more than 15 years. I love to see the world through a child's eyes and help parents and children who are struggling! I received my BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, and my Master's of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma.
I have spent many years providing home visits to parents needing support with their children's behavior. For the last nine years I worked as an in-home therapist with Exchange Family Center. I also worked as a home visitor for three years in Wisconsin. Prior to that, I worked as a parent educator at Welcome Baby. I completed my social work internships at a county health department and a domestic violence shelter.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, listening to audio books, and hiking.
